Lisa’s career at Northwood began in December 2008 as the Director of Business Development. In this position, Lisa oversaw a number of new initiatives including the addition of a new health plan client –Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan in Boston, Massachusetts. During June of 2012, Lisa’s role expanded when she was appointed Northwood’s Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to Northwood, Lisa worked as a registered nurse at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. She worked on a variety of units including oncology, surgical intensive care and labor and delivery. In addition, Lisa worked in Royal Oak Beaumont’s emergency room in a Nurse Review/Utilization Management role. Lisa was also elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2002, 2004 and 2006 as State Representative for the 28th district of Center Line and Warren. Lisa served on the House Health Policy Committee, Insurance Committee and was Chair of the Regulatory Reform Committee.

“The state of New Hampshire made changes to its Medicaid program by transitioning to a managed care model of administration. One of the health plans chosen by the state is Well Sense Health Plan, a Northwood client for durable medical equipment benefits (DBM) management. Since the program started on December 1, 2013, Northwood has seen significant growth in membership levels. Throughout this growth, Northwood has worked with its provider network and Well Sense Health plan to provide quality durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and medical supplies to members while protecting Plan resources.”
